Christmas 2011

It has passed. I have survived. It was a wonderful Christmas, minus one sick child. We spent Christmas Eve at Shaine's parents house - and Dyllan stayed home sick. That seemed to put a damper on my Christmas Eve, but we still had some fun. Dyllan finally started feeling better about 8:00 pm when we arrived home. So, I did not take many pictures, it just seemed wrong without him there. Then, Devan and I looked at each other and I asked if this was going to be what it was like when Dyllan goes to college - we both decided we didn't like it so much. Thanks to Shaine's parents for such a wonderful meal and a great time.
Christmas Day was a HOME DAY!!! We just enjoyed each other's company after the Santa presents were opened, watched a few movies and played with toys. I love days like that! I love the relaxed pace and just being together. The best!
Yesterday we got to entertain a tiny bit for my close family. My brother and his family and my dad came down and I might have to say it was one of the most relaxing Christmas times ever. We just hung out and talked and watched kids play. We did get our annual Oyster Stew too!! I did some very minimal Christmas baking before they came. I made carmel Puffcorn popcorn and Peanut Blossom Cookies. Now - I need to diet!
I, personally, seemed to just try to enjoy more, stress less, and just go with the flow. I have seriously been thinking I am becoming VERY APATHETIC over things that may have drove me crazy in the past. So - my new WHATEVER attitude is sort of growing on me. I like it! So, if I don't return your messages or emails or phone calls, don't worry - I am just turning over a new leaf! Haha!
I will add some pictures later, I did take a few snapshots - not too many this year. Sometimes it is just nice to BE - rather than living life through a camera!
